Franco Chicherio is the new CEO of the Technopark Lucerne

Lucerne - The Technopark Lucerne has new leadership: the economist Francesco (Franco) Chicherio has taken over management from Hansruedi Lingg. After ten years in office, Lingg retires at the end of the month.

Francesco (Franco) Chicherio has taken office as the new CEO of the Technopark Lucerne. The economist is following on from Hansruedi Lingg, who had headed up the Technopark founded in 2003 for ten years. Lingg is retiring from the end of April.

Chicherio has been a member of the board (CSEO) of the Swiss Economic Forum (SEF) since August 2017, where he was responsible for the area of Start-ups & Entrepreneurship, the growth initiative SEF.Growth, and the SEF Award.

The new CEO originally comes from the insurance industry. He worked at Zurich Insurance Group for seven years as Head Project Portfolio Management until 2014. Afterward, he was a member of the board at ZfU International Business School in Zurich. In January this year, he founded the management consultancy CELO-Institut in Freienbach in the canton of Schwyz, which offers coaching for entrepreneurs and management.

There are currently around 40 international technology start-ups located at the Technopark Lucerne. A network of over 60 partners from economics, politics, and universities supports the Technopark both financially as well as with their expertise.
