Lucerne International School enrolls first students

Dierikon LU – The first classes at Lucerne International School will begin at the start of the new academic year. The university preparatory private school covers both US and UK curriculums. The school offers individual teaching programs.

From the start of the new academic year in Switzerland, Lucerne International School is set to supplement the range of educational programs on offer in the canton of Lucerne. The university preparatory high school covers both UK and US international curriculums, a press release explains. The accredited US high school program leads to a high school diploma as well as SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) and AP (Advanced Placement) exams

According to information from the school itself, it offers a mix of online and face-to-face teaching as part of what is known as a blended learning program. The curriculum also includes physical education and performing arts in addition to clubs and activities. Science labs, a gym and cafeteria can all be found near to the main campus in Dierikon in the canton of Lucerne. All students benefit from a greater degree of attention than is the case in traditional school settings. “We are driven to provide an education that prepares students for their futures, not for our past”, the press release states.

Registrations are now open. The first classes are set to begin in August 2021 with fees starting from 18,000 Swiss francs.
