Lucerne – The Lucerne company GWF has received NSF approval for its high-precision water flow measurement device. The product can therefore now be used for applications in connection with drinking water in the USA.

The Lucerne-based company GWF has developed a flow measurement device for drinking, industrial and service water in the form of the Sonico Edge. The device has now received NSF approval, as detailed in a press release. This is a form of product certification in the area of food safety. In the case of the Sonico Edge, this means that the device may now be used for applications linked to drinking water.

The Sonico Edge is based on a patented ultrasound process. The product is characterized by its precision and long service life, according to information from GWF. The company expects that the Sonico Edge could make a “significant contribution” to using water responsibly.

In the press release, Project Manager Sergio Thaddey described the certification as a “milestone for the international commercialization of the product”. According to the press release, the Sonico product family is the “flagship technology” of this traditional Lucerne firm with a rich history. All products belonging to this range are manufactured at GWF’s production facility at the company headquarters in Lucerne.
