Quickpac opens new depot in Ebikon

Ebikon LU - Quickpac is opening its first central Swiss depot in Ebikon in September. In the former M-Parc, the St.Gallen parcel service provider plans to create 60 full-time jobs. Around 2,000 parcels will be processed there every day, while the catchment area will comprise some 200,000 households.

Quickpac is opening its first central Swiss depot in the former M-Parc in Ebikon in the canton of Lucerne this September. The opening will create 60 full-time jobs, according to an article dated 20 July in the newspaper “Luzerner Zeitung”. On its website and various job exchanges, the Swiss parcel service provider is already looking for management staff for teams and depots, as well as delivery drivers and technical staff.

Quickpac is the first parcel service provider in Europe to deploy solely electric vehicles – 40 of which will deliver 2,000 parcels from Ebikon every day. Delivery will be handled by two to three trucks daily, while the depot’s catchment area between Zug and Alpnach in the canton of Obwalden will include around 200,000 households.

Quickpac AG reports that it transported over 1.9 million parcels in the first half of 2022, which is 21 per cent more than in the same period last year. Among its customers are leading mail order companies and online shops such as Lehner, Ackermann, Brack and Interdiscount. Quickpac AG is a sister company of Quickmail AG, the only private mail service provider in Switzerland.
