The research department with the competence centers “Music Education Research” and “Music Performance Research” has a national and international profile. The PreCollege promotes talent and prepares students for a successful start to a career in music. The Lucerne School of Music cooperates with the Lucerne Festival Academy, the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra, the Lucerne Theater, various jazz festivals, the Haus der Volksmusik and regional music schools.
