Public transport in Switzerland is punctual, clean and safe. The roads are in impeccable condition. Thanks to its central location and an excellently developed transport network, the Lucerne region can be reached quickly from all directions. The drive to Zurich takes 35 minutes, to Bern and Basel one hour. The train runs at least every half hour to Zurich Airport and to the major cities in Switzerland.
Transport network for local transport
For local transport, there is an excellently developed public transport network. The S-Bahn connects the towns and regions of Central Switzerland. In the city of Lucerne, buses run every five to ten minutes at peak times on all major lines. And those who like to stay a little longer in the evening can travel home after midnight on the night bus.
