ALSO adds Shelly’s smart home solutions to its product range

Emmen/Sofia - ALSO Holding AG in the canton of Lucerne is expanding its Internet of Things (IoT) portfolio to include smart home and smart building technology from the Bulgarian technology group Shelly. Distribution partners in 19 European markets will gain access to products for energy management, automation and connected living.

ALSO is adding Shelly’s smart home and smart building solutions to its IoT portfolio. According to a statement from the Emmen-based technology provider, it is thereby expanding its existing product range in the areas of Industrial IoT, security, connectivity and cloud solutions. The products will be available in 19 European markets.

The range will initially include smart relays, switches and plug sockets as well as devices for monitoring energy use and sensors. The products are based on open standards and can be used in both private households and for professional building automation. The first items are already available through ALSO’s online store, with additional and exclusive products to follow. ALSO’s IoT team supports sales partners in selecting and implementing the solutions. «With Shelly, we are expanding our IoT portfolio to include one of the most prominent providers in the European smart home market,» said Fabian Köslin, Regional Lead IoT DACH at ALSO Deutschland GmbH.

Shelly hopes the collaboration will above all lead to greater reach and open up new markets. «The partnership with ALSO brings Shelly’s smart home and smart building solutions to one of Europe’s largest reseller ecosystems,» said Chief Marketing Officer Georgi Bonev.
