ALSO strengthens cloud expertise through Commaxx takeover

Emmen/Oslo - ALSO has agreed a takeover of the Norwegian firm Commaxx. The closing of the transaction marks a growth step on the Scandinavian market and strengthens its expertise in the field of cloud technology.

According to a press release, ALSO Holding AG from Emmen in the canton of Lucerne has acquired Commaxx, an IT infrastructure specialist from the Norwegian capital of Oslo. Following approval by the relevant authorities in Denmark, Sweden and Norway, the acquisition of value-added distributor Commaxx has now been finalized, the press release explains further.

Commaxx boasts extensive experience as a cloud service provider. As such, it is a superb fit for the growth strategy pursued by ALSO, the press release states. The expertise of the Emmen-based firm will be supplemented by Commaxx’s technical know-how and solutions competence in the areas of private, public and hybrid cloud. In this way, ALSO is strengthening its cloud expertise. The development of additional offers in Scandinavia and other countries will lead to an expansion of the portfolio in one of the currently fastest growing areas of IT.

ALSO Holding AG is active in 30 European countries and maintains a global presence in a total of 144 countries around the world via partners, the press release explains. According to the information, around 120,000 specialist dealers have access to offers from over 700 manufacturers across more than 1,450 product categories.
