ALSO to incorporate sustainability in its articles of association

Emmen - ALSO is anchoring criteria for corporate responsibility in its articles of association. The technology provider from the canton of Lucerne has formed a committee comprising internal and external sustainability experts to manage the practical implementation phase.

ALSO Holding AG, headquartered in Emmen in the canton of Lucerne, has defined criteria for corporate responsibility in the areas of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in its articles of association. The technology provider for the information and communication industry is therefore moving to anchor sustainability principles in its basic legal standards. The practical implementation of the ESG criteria is to be supported and monitored by a specially formed committee made up of internal and external sustainability experts, further details of which can be found in a press release.

For 11 years now, the company has been measuring its entrepreneurial activities by way of a self-developed sustainability rating system. In addition, ALSO has been publishing the results in a separate report since last year. Previously, this information was presented as part of the company’s annual report.

“We had to develop a lot ourselves and unfortunately there still is no binding regulation from the legislators. Together with the experts of the Sustainability Committee, we now want to work on additional areas and thus continue to drive sustainable, profitable growth”, explains Gustavo Möller-Hergt, CEO of ALSO, in the press release.

ALSO can already be considered one of the world’s most sustainable companies. In the most recent ESG risk assessment carried out by the Dutch sustainability evaluation experts Sustainalytics, ALSO ranked in 81st position out of more than 15,000 firms assessed around the world.
