AMAG names finalists in Family Business Award 2026

Cham - Bühlmann Recycling AG, Renggli AG, and Welz AG are this year’s finalists for the Family Business Award. The AMAG Group prize honors family-owned companies that are particularly committed to sustainability and have a long-term focus on value.

The AMAG Group, which is headquartered in Cham in the Swiss canton of Zug, is presenting the Family Business Award for the 15th time. The finalists for the 2026 award have now been announced, according to a statement. They are Bühlmann Recycling AG from Münchenwiler in the Swiss canton of Bern; Renggli AG from Schötz in the canton of Lucerne; and Welz AG from Trogen in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden.

Bühlmann Recycling AG has been nominated for its dedicated recycling and waste management concepts with a circular economy focus. Active in sustainable wood construction, Renggli AG is aiming towards environmentally friendly building practices through innovative construction concepts. Welz AG reportedly stands out with its combination of traditional carpentry craftsmanship and modern interior design.

The jury for the awards ceremony was selected from among business representatives. Karim Twerenbold, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Twerenbold Reisen Group, is the chair. The judging process was developed at the Center for Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (CCRS) at the School of Management Freiburg to guarantee an objective evaluation, reads the statement. The awards ceremony will take place on 23 September 2026 in Bern.
