André Wall steps down as CEO of RUAG International and Beyond Gravity

Zurich/Emmen - André Wall is stepping down as CEO of RUAG International and Beyond Gravity in mid-2026. With the privatization of the space division Beyond Gravity, his restructuring of RUAG would have been complete. Because this has been halted, Wall is paving the way for new leadership.

André Wall has announced his resignation. He has decided to step down from his role as CEO of RUAG International Holding AG and Beyond Gravity. According to a statement of RUAG, Wall intends to remain «available until mid-2026» to ensure a smooth transition.

Wall had begun restructuring the state-owned RUAG corporation. «Over the past four and a half years, together with an excellent team and the support of the owner, I have been able to profitably align RUAG International's divisions and sell them with significant results for the Swiss Confederation», he is quoted as saying. «We have also positioned Beyond Gravity well in global competition as an innovative niche provider of satellites and launch systems.»

Beyond Gravity from Zurich was previously RUAG Space. The privatization of the space division was positioned as the final chapter in Wall’s restructuring measures. However, in March 2025, parliament blocked the planned sale of Europe's fourth-largest space company on the grounds that it would deprive Switzerland of its international standing in this key technology.

«I would now like to clear the way for the new phase», Wall says in the statement. Chairman of the Board of Directors Rainer Schulz thanked him for his «extraordinary commitment. With vision, determination and entrepreneurial clarity, he has realigned RUAG International and paved the way for Beyond Gravity as a global aerospace supplier».
