Atelier Treger opens branch in Zurich
Lucerne/Zurich - The Treger fashion studio has opened a branch in Zurich, selling high-quality, handmade accessories like suspenders, bow ties and pocket squares. It has acquired the store from Risa Hutwerkstatt, a hat-making business.
Lucerne-based Atelier Treger has opened a new branch in Zurich. The company, which is headed up by Markus Elmiger and Anna de Weerdt, took over the store from the Risa hat-making business, according to an article in the Luzerner Zeitung newspaper. «We are on the same wavelength as Risa – we share the same philosophy. We are idealists, cover a niche market and produce a lot of our work by hand,» says Elmiger.
Customers visiting the 10 square-meter store, which is located close to Zurich’s Hardbrücke bridge, will be able to buy some of the products from the Atelier Treger range. «We will focus on our high-quality accessories like suspenders, pocket squares and bow ties, which we produce in Lucerne,» explains Elmiger. The shop will also sell cufflinks, ties, bags and wallets, along with hats and caps made by Risa. Treger also intends to sell tailor-made shirts in its Zurich store in future, but customers will have to travel to Lucerne for bespoke suits, according to the article. The company will monitor footfall trends in order to decide whether to expand the range of products sold in the store.
