Bieri fits new tarpaulins onto 25 Planzer lorries in Italy
Grosswangen LU/Dietikon ZH- The Lucerne-based tarpaulin manufacturer Bieri Tenta has produced new tarpaulins for the Italian lorry fleet of Planzer. These were fitted onto 25 vehicles at the Como site of the Dietikon-based freight forwarder.
Bieri Tenta AG has delivered on a cross-border contract: The company from Grosswangen in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, has fitted new tarpaulins onto 25 lorries used in a fleet of the freight forwarder Planzer, which is headquartered in Dietikon in the canton of Zurich. The fleet in question is operated by Planzer from its site in Como, Italy.
As Bieri explains in a statement, this was a "challenging project that went far beyond simply fitting the tarpaulins". For example, to equip the 25 lorries in Italy, logistics had to be carefully planned, while all customs formalities and the work permits required for operations within the EU also needed to be taken care of.
"It is only possible to pull off projects of this kind when several dedicated teams – from project management, production and logistics through to our on-site installation crews – are coordinated perfectly", Planzer states. This successful project was based on exceptional "commitment, flexibility and team spirit".
