Bieri supplies tarpaulin system for Grand Casino Lucerne
Lucerne/Grosswangen - New marquee tarpaulins have been installed at the Grand Casino Lucerne. Bieri Tenta AG was responsible for supplying the customized tarpaulin system.
Bieri Tenta AG from Grosswangen in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, has been awarded a major contract by Grand Casino Lucerne. As detailed in a press release, the casino, which is located directly on the shores of Lake Lucerne, has had a new customized tarpaulin system installed. The new fixed textile solution in the form of a 46-meter-long tarpaulin system tailored to the design and architecture of the casino replaces the traditional marquee ambiance.
Front curtains with clear glass inserts starting at chest height, intended to allow light into the terrace area, form part of the new tarpaulin system. These front curtains are divided at the middle and can be quickly pulled aside when needed, while three side walls are adapted to the sloping roof to create a completely enclosed solution. With a comprehensive emergency exit system, the new tarpaulin system is suitable for use during all types of events. Permanently mounted channel rails allow for the curtains to be hung or removed quickly. With recesses for ventilation and heating systems, as well as 60 foam rolls welded into tarpaulins to seal between the partition walls and the pergola roof, comfort should be guaranteed even on cooler days, according to the press release.
The Bieri Group produces innovative solutions made from tarpaulins. The company employs 130 staff who process 1.7 million square meters of tarpaulin each year. This is equivalent to approximately 238 football fields.
