Bieri Tenta manufacturing new truck tarpaulins for DSV
Grosswangen/Hedehusene - Bieri Tenta is responsible for the rebranding of DB Schenker's trucks and will be manufacturing the new truck tarpaulins. The former subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn was acquired by the Danish logistics group DSV in 2025. Since then, DSV has been the world’s number one logistics group.
Bieri Tenta is making the DSV takeover of DB Schenker visible on the roads. According to a statement, the manufacturer of tarpaulin solutions from Grosswangen in the Swiss canton of Lucerne has been tasked with developing new tarpaulin covers featuring the DSV logo for the trucks previously used by the Deutsche Bahn subsidiary Schenker.
The Danish logistics group DSV agreed a deal to acquire DB Schenker, a competitor of more or less equal size, back in April 2025. The acquisition was then completed in early 2026. Through the merger of the former number 3 and number 4 in the logistics market, DSV has ascended to top spot in terms of the world’s largest logistics group as measured by both revenue and transport volume. With revenues in excess of 40 billion euros, DSV now employs 150,000 people in more than 90 countries.
So far, Bieri Tenta has equipped 34 DSV vehicles with the new tarpaulin design, according to the statement, with many more set to follow in due course. “Our production, finishing and assembly teams all work to ensure that every tarpaulin is precisely welded, expertly finished and cleanly fitted”, as Bieri Tenta writes. “This guarantees that every vehicle distinctly and consistently represents the brand over the long term”.
