BNI Switzerland set to celebrate 20th anniversary

Lucerne - Business Network International (BNI) Switzerland is celebrating its 20th anniversary. The business network aims to provide mutual assistance. By facilitating contacts and offering recommendations, the hope is that members can secure increased sales.

Business Network International (BNI) Switzerland, which is headquartered in Lucerne, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. This milestone was celebrated with a grand event on June 6, 2025, in Lugano in the canton of Ticino, as the company writes in a press release. In addition to speeches and member meetings, the event also included a show featuring cultural and musical highlights.

BNI in Switzerland is a network for communications and leadership. It is geared towards entrepreneurs seeking to present their business model to the wider public by way of exchanges and recommendations. The activities are aimed at providing mutual support in order to increase company sales and to tap into additional business fields. At present, BNI Switzerland has 2,800 members organized into 97 different groups.

Peter Hermetschweiler acquired the BNI license for Switzerland and Liechtenstein in 2005, making Switzerland the 16th country in which BNI was represented. The Hermetschweiler family continues to own the license and still manages the business to this day, as the press release explains.
