Brunner Medien acquires KRT Media under succession plan
Kriens/Lucerne - Brunner Medien AG from Kriens in the Swiss canton of Lucerne is acquiring Lucerne-based KRT Media AG on 1 April 2026. The integration is part of a succession plan. For the two companies, it is a chance to secure their futures as media service providers in a dynamic market environment.
The Lucerne-based online and advertising agency KRT Media AG has solved the issue of its succession planning. According to a statement, the company – which has had regional roots since 1952 – will be integrated into Brunner Medien AG on 1 April 2026. The two businesses describe the move as an opportunity to secure their futures in the media.
Through the acquisition, Brunner Medien AG aims to leverage synergies that will generate an increase in specialized personnel, expertise, and production capacity. With this succession plan, the media company says it is ensuring continued long-term stability, investment security, and future viability in a dynamic market. The company also believes the move will strengthen quality assurance in a professional environment, according to the statement.
Aldo Krummenacher, owner and CEO of KRT Media AG, views a merger with an established media company in the region as a priority in light of his upcoming retirement. Thanks to the integration, he can now reportedly carry out his plan as intended.
The integration is taking place on a partnership basis. According to the company, the 12 employees currently working at KRT Media AG will be employed by Brunner Medien AG at its Kriens location, where the joint offices are situated.
The service portfolios of the two companies are said to complement each other very well. KRT Media AG is a full-service provider of marketing solutions across all communication channels. Its portfolio includes photography, high-end image editing, premedia, database solutions, and print management. Brunner Medien AG, as a printing company with modern prepress capabilities, offers customers media production, publishing, and print services.
