Calopad awarded Innosuisse Certificate

Sempach LU - Calopad AG has been awarded the Innosuisse Certificate. This confirms that a start-up is established within an industry and is ready for sustainable growth. The MedTech firm launched a reusable deep heat plaster on the market in March of this year.

From now on, Calopad AG products will carry the Innosuisse Certificate. Founded three years ago, the MedTech firm based in Sempach in the canton of Lucerne has developed a chargeable, reusable deep heat plaster, which it launched on the market in March of this year.

The certificate from the Swiss agency for innovation promotion confirms that a start-up founded in accordance with Swiss law has a solid basis and is ready for future growth. The company must also have demonstrated that it has secured market access and is established in its industry, while the Innosuisse Innovation Council must also be convinced that the start-up has a professional management team in place or has recourse to access these capacities.

Being awarded the Innosuisse Certificate is a quite remarkable achievement, Lead Coach and medical technology expert Heiko Visarius explains in the press release. He has supported the core Calopad team with his expertise over the past three years. Any company or entrepreneur that wants to get their hands on this coveted federal award “has to have bite”, he states. Ambition, initiative and an innovative spirit are required for this; according to Visarius, the Calopad inventors boast these qualities in spades.

Next year Calopad intends to expand across the German speaking DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region, while plans are also in place to enter the US market within three years. The company will embark on a Series A investment round to finance these plans.
