CeQur secures an additional 100 million US dollars
Horw - CeQur has raised 100 million US dollars in a Series E funding round. The Lucerne-based medtech company plans to use the funds to expand across all business areas with its discreet wearable device for mealtime insulin delivery worn on the abdomen.
CeQur has closed a 100 million US dollars Series E funding round. According to a statement from CeQur, the investment reflects the growing demand for a simpler approach to mealtime insulin, its strong product pipeline and sustained investor confidence in the company. The Horw-based medical technology company provided no further information about the investors. It had raised 120 million US dollars in a previous funding round, which closed in March 2025.
The mealtime insulin patch CeQur Simplicity, the wearable device developed and marketed by CeQur, is applied to the skin of the abdomen. Insulin delivery is triggered manually through clothing by pressing two buttons at the same time on the flat, skin-colored patch. Until shortly ago, it could be worn for up to four days and replaced as many as twelve injections of two units each at mealtimes. CeQur has now extended the wear time to up to seven days and users also have the option to choose between one and two units of insulin.
The spin-off of the Danish industrial group was founded in 2008. The statement says that this funding marks the beginning of the company's «most ambitious phase of commercial growth» and that the new capital is intended to accelerate growth across every dimension of its commercial operation. With the extended wear time of the item and its new dosing options, the company asserts it is «perfectly positioned» to meet increased demand.
