Cowa announces trading partnership with Meier Tobler
Root/Schwerzenbach - Cowa Thermal Solutions AG has entered into a partnership with Meier Tobler AG. The wholesaler is adding Cowa’s compact thermal storage solutions to its product range. At the end of the year, Cowa plans to launch a «world-first technological innovation» in the shape of a new latent heat storage system.
Cowa Thermal Solutions AG, which is based in the Technopark Lucerne in Root in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, has entered into a wholesale partnership with the distribution company Meier Tobler from Schwerzenbach in the Swiss canton of Zurich.
Cowa intends the partnership to significantly expand its market segment in Switzerland, according to a statement. Meier Tobler, a supplier of building services products for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and sanitation, will distribute Cowa's heat storage tanks for use in single-family homes, apartment buildings, and for integration into heat pump and photovoltaic systems, making access easier for handicraft businesses in particular, it writes.
«With Meier Tobler, we have gained the strongest distribution partner in Switzerland, one who shares our vision of compact, sustainable heat storage,» André Waller, CRO of Cowa Thermal Solutions AG, is quoted as saying. «This partnership marks a milestone for us. It makes access to future-oriented heat storage easier than ever before, right where installers place their orders.»
Cowa plans to launch a new latent heat storage system at the end of 2025. The domestic hot water product is designed to have a phase change material (PCM) melting point of 48 degrees Celsius, giving it high energy efficiency. According to Cowa, the melting point of this «world-first technology» is 10 degrees lower than that of existing systems. Thanks to this low melting point, the storage tank can accommodate almost all conventional heat pumps.
