CSEM Digital Journey Award 2026: Up to CHF 100,000 to Support SME Digitalisation
Sarnen - CSEM, a cooperation partner of the Lucerne Economic Development Agency, has opened applications for the Digital Journey Award 2026. Swiss SMEs can submit their digitalisation projects until 14 September 2026 and win up to CHF 100,000 in technology and transfer support.
Through the Digital Journey Award, the research and technology company CSEM (Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique) supports small and medium-sized enterprises in implementing concrete digitalisation projects. CSEM is a cooperation partner of the Lucerne Economic Development Agency, and this call is also being made accessible to Lucerne-based companies through that partnership.
Eligibility
Swiss SMEs may apply if they:
- employ up to 250 people,
- offer a commercially viable product or service,
- were founded before 1 June 2021,
- can assign their digitalisation project to one of the eight key technology fields defined by CSEM.
Process
Interested companies first register to receive the list of the eight technology fields and the application form. The application itself includes company information and a brief description of the digitalisation project. The submission deadline is 14 September 2026.
Following a pre-selection by CSEM, an expert jury – including representatives from ETH Zurich, EPFL, Swisstopo and Swissmem – reviews the submitted projects and selects five finalists. The award ceremony will take place at the end of November 2026 as part of a CSEM event.
The Prize
The main prize consists of tailored support worth up to CHF 100,000, provided by CSEM specialists – ranging from concept development to technology transfer. In previous years, this support has enabled projects in areas such as quality assurance, sensor technology and industrial automation.
Further information and registration are available on the CSEM website.
