CSEM Opens Innovation Center in the Canton of Schwyz – Strengthening Central Switzerland
Schwyz - With its new site in Schwyz, CSEM is expanding its presence in Central Switzerland. The innovation center provides SMEs with direct access to key technologies such as digitalization, artificial intelligence and robotics – with relevance extending beyond cantonal borders.
Since January 2026, CSEM has been operating a new technology innovation center in the canton of Schwyz. The site complements CSEM’s long-standing engagement in Alpnach and further strengthens knowledge and technology transfer across Central Switzerland. Its thematic focus lies on digitalization, artificial intelligence and robotics – areas that are increasingly strategic for manufacturing and industrial companies.
CSEM acts as a bridge between applied research and industrial implementation. As Vincent Revol, Member of the Executive Board of CSEM, explains in an interview, the innovation center is positioned between fundamental research, technology transfer and industrial application, thereby closing an important gap within Switzerland’s innovation landscape. The objective is to enable companies to develop practical solutions and to make advanced technologies accessible locally.
For Central Switzerland, the new site represents a further consolidation of the regional innovation ecosystem. Companies gain direct access to a national technology network comprising more than 600 experts and an extensive patent portfolio. At the same time, the regional presence strengthens collaboration with universities, applied sciences institutions and innovation partners, creating additional opportunities for joint development projects.
With the opening in Seewen, technology transfer in the region is being structurally expanded – as part of CSEM’s long-term commitment to Central Switzerland.
