Data Unit and Itegrity set to merge
Sursee LU/Baden AG - Data Unit and Itegrity, two Swiss ICT service providers based in the canton of Lucerne and canton of Aargau respectively, are to merge with effect from April 1. Together, the two companies intend to offer a complete service portfolio for SMEs.
Data Unit AG from Sursee in the canton of Lucerne and Itegrity AG based in Baden in the canton of Aargau have announced a merger with effect from April 1. The two information and communications technology companies will offer an end-to-end, cross-sector service portfolio for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), further details of which can be found in a press release. Both locations in Sursee and Baden are to be retained on completion of the merger. Founded in 1974, Data Unit AG employs around 30 staff, while Itegrity, which was founded in 2017, has 11 employees according to its website. Both companies have been partners of the software corporation SAP for years and have collaborated as SAP partners. After the merger, Data Unit will in future be responsible for serving SAP systems at more than 150 SMEs.
“With the merger of the two companies, we are combining their strengths and at the same time strengthening our position as the number one SAP Competence Center for SMEs on the Swiss market”, comments Roger Wipfli, Chief Sales Officer at Data Unit, in the press release. With these combined competencies, it will be possible for the partners to satisfy increasing market demand for cloud-based software solutions.
A long-standing and extremely successful collaboration “finds its logical continuation in this way”, explains Philipp Emmenegger, former CEO of Itegrity and new co-CEO of Data Unit.
On completion of the merger, Data Unit founder Pierre Rügländer, in addition to his son and former CEO Philipp Rügländer, will be handing over full control of the company to the newly formed executive management team. From April 1, this will consist of the two Co-CEOs, Daniel Walker and Philipp Emmenegger, alongside Roger Wipfli (Chief Sales Officer), David Emmenegger (COO) and Patrick Pribilovic as Head of Consulting, who performed the same role at Itegrity.
