Delegation visit to China strengthens ties with Lucerne-based companies
Lucerne/Jiangsu - In early April, Lucerne Business organized a delegation trip to China together with representatives from government and business. The focus was on engaging with companies from the Lucerne region that are active in the Chinese market, as well as maintaining long-standing relationships with the partner province of Jiangsu.
The delegation included senior representatives from various Lucerne-based companies and institutions, including Schindler Group, SCHURTER Group and Geistlich Pharma AG. The group was complemented by stakeholders from tourism, business and regional development, as well as Government Councillor Fabian Peter.
In addition to official meetings in Jiangsu, Suzhou and Shanghai, the programme placed a strong emphasis on company visits – both to Lucerne-based firms with a significant footprint in China and to innovative Chinese companies in fields such as AI, robotics and advanced mobility. The trip provided valuable insights into current market developments and enabled direct exchange on business conditions and potential areas of collaboration.
The inclusion of Lucerne’s business community once again proved highly valuable. In a complex market environment such as China, the continuous cultivation of relationships remains a key success factor for internationally active companies. At the same time, the exchange offers important impulses for the ongoing development of the Lucerne business location.
