Developments and sales drive profit at Mobimo

Lucerne - In the first half of 2025, Mobimo Holding AG significantly increased its operating earnings and profit. Development projects and sales acted as the growth driver here. Rental income remained constant in comparison with the previous year.

Mobimo Holding AG can look back on a strong first half of 2025. In specific terms, the Lucerne-based real estate company has increased its operating result at the level of EBIT including revaluations from 83.3 million Swiss francs to 144.5 million Swiss francs year on year, as Mobimo writes in press release. At the same time, profit including revaluations rose to 109.7 million Swiss francs from 65.6 million Swiss francs in the same period of the previous year.

According to the company, the success of development projects and sale of trading properties can be seen as the driver of this positive performance. Net income here increased to 24.9 million Swiss francs compared with the same period last year, which is almost double the figure recorded in the prior year. Revaluations generated a net appreciation amounting to 71.6 million Swiss francs in the real estate portfolio of Mobimo, while net rental income remained constant versus the prior year at 72.6 million Swiss francs.

The value of the real estate portfolio totaled 3.9 billion Swiss francs as at the reporting date. This compares with a value of 3.8 billion Swiss francs as at year-end 2024. In terms of total assets, Mobimo exceeded the mark of 4 billion Swiss francs for the first time. In June, the company was included in the stock index of the 600 largest European companies (STOXX Europe 600).

Mobimo intends to take advantage of its solid financing situation to make a «substantial external growth step»: On August 7, the real estate company signed the contract to acquire the portfolio of EMWE Immobilien AG from Zurich. The portfolio comprises five residential properties with annual rental income of around 3 million Swiss francs in addition to three residential real estate assets that are currently under construction.
