Digitalswitzerland Zentralschweiz and Local AI join forces
Lucerne - Digitalswitzerland Zentralschweiz and the Local AI Community association have merged. As the new Digital & AI Community, the two organizations are creating a hub for anyone in Central Switzerland involved in digitalization and artificial intelligence.
Digitalswitzerland Zentralschweiz and the Local AI Community have joined forces. The new association, which is based in Lucerne, is called Digital & AI Community. Its goal is to consolidate existing networks, expertise, and activities, as well as to specifically expand its regional impact, according to a statement.
The Digital & AI Community describes itself as Central Switzerland’s digitalization and artificial intelligence (AI) hub. «It connects businesses, government, academia, and society, provides access to knowledge, and fosters dialogue on current developments and specific use cases,» write the organizers. The resulting platform «offers guidance, strengthens knowledge transfer, and actively shapes digital transformation in the region».
The existing communities, formats, and activities of both organizations will be retained and further developed within the joint structure. At the same time, the new organization aims to strengthen Central Switzerland’s position as a hub for digital technology and AI, as well as to create a central point of contact for issues related to innovation, technology, and digital transformation.
An additional statement on the merger reads: «Our goal is clearer than ever: to create value in the region through digitalization and AI. The Digital & AI Community is intended to serve as a gateway to the world of AI, particularly for local SMEs.»
