ELCA Group acquires Lucerne’s Löwenfels Partner AG
Lucerne/Pully - Löwenfels Partner is now part of the ELCA Group. The merger of the two IT service providers aims to give social insurance agencies and healthcare organizations access to additional services.
Löwenfels Partner AG is joining the ELCA Group, headquartered in Pully in the Swiss canton of Vaud. The two IT service providers announced the news in a joint statement. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed. Löwenfels will remain an independent company. It was founded in 1986 and develops software solutions for government agencies in Switzerland.
The company focuses on the digitization of complex business processes and financial flows, particularly in social insurance and healthcare. The ELCA Group expects that the Lucerne-based firm’s expertise across health insurance, social insurance, and services related to the Swiss healthcare reform EFAS will strengthen its own position in these areas.
ELCA highlights that its subsidiary Neosis already offers a suite of social insurance solutions through iPension. In addition, Sumex, another subsidiary of the group, provides ERP and claims management solutions for the Swiss healthcare sector. “The merger with Löwenfels Partner AG enables us to offer our customers access to an even broader range of services, including cybersecurity services and products, as well as managed IT services, which are becoming increasingly important,” Christoph Stettler, General Manager of Neosis, is quoted as saying.
“This acquisition is an excellent fit with our portfolio, representing an important step toward supporting the further development of social security and healthcare services throughout Switzerland,” said ELCA's CEO Cédric Moret about the reasons behind the acquisition. Oliver Meyer, CEO of Löwenfels Partner AG, expressed his belief that together, the two companies “are well-positioned to meet our clients’ evolving IT and security challenges”.
