Emmi develops circular packaging for Caffè Latte
Lucerne - Emmi is launching fully circular packaging for its 230ml Caffè Latte. In so doing, the company has got rid of the previous PET film and the aluminum board for the lid. The cup and lid are now permanently attached, while the whole design has been revamped in general.
Emmi is launching a fully circular packaging solution for its Caffè Latte, as detailed in a statement. The 230ml cup now comes without a PET sleeve featured in previous designs. The lid is attached to the cup, which now renders the aluminum board obsolete. The lid with flap seals the drink opening more effectively.
Emmi has also revamped the design. In so doing, it has opted for minimalist design elements with clear product variety names and relevant product information on the front.
Headquartered in Lucerne, the dairy products specialist will be launching the Caffè Latte in its new packaging across Switzerland this May, before rolling it out across Europe in June.
The beans used in the Caffè Latte are sourced from a Rainforest Alliance-certified farm. The beans are roasted in Switzerland, the milk comes from Switzerland, and the Caffè Latte is produced in Switzerland as well.
