Galliker Transport AG has begun construction of its new E-Park & Ride project and officially opened the E-Power Bridge, as the company reported in a statement. Both projects are characterized by a modern, energy-efficient and future-oriented infrastructure for electromobility in heavy goods traffic.
The E-Park & Ride project envisages the construction of a charging infrastructure with 41 high-performance charging points for electric trucks, which can supply a total of up to 82 trucks per night. The energy required is being provided by three 2 megawatt transformers. Part of the project is the construction of a two-story underground car park with around 300 parking spaces to compensate for the existing parking space. Of these, 74 spaces will be equipped with 74 charging points for e-cars.
This construction is a central part of the Zero Emissions Network. As part of this sustainability project, the transportation service provider has set itself the goal of equipping all locations with a fully integrated, emission-free energy and charging infrastructure. The company wants to run around 650 trucks on electricity by the end of 2030.
A milestone for this project is the opening of the E-Power Bridge at Galliker’s headquarters in Altishofen, which took place on the same day as the groundbreaking ceremony in Dagmersellen. The bridge is intended to ensure an efficient energy supply for the e-fleet by means of stored solar energy.
«With the E-Park & Ride and the E-Power Bridge, we are creating an infrastructure that will sustainably support the transformation of our company into a low-emission transportation service provider. With the Zero Emissions Network, we are investing in a future in which our logistics are climate-friendly and responsible,» commented CEO Peter Galliker in the statement.
