Lucerne/Woolston - GWF AG has acquired the assets of the British company i20 Water Ltd. By bringing together the technologies of both firms, the Lucerne-based enterprise intends to offer an integrated platform that encompasses advisory insights and real-time interventions.
The Lucerne-based company GWF AG is acquiring the assets of i20 Water Ltd., which is headquartered in Woolston near to Southampton in southern England. With the acquisition of the British company, GWF intends to unite two technologies in an attempt to offer customers an integrated portfolio encompassing advisory insights and real-time interventions, as detailed in a statement.
As an international provider of pressure management technology for water utilities, i20 offers data loggers for water networks, PRV controllers and adaptive optimization software. The solutions provided by i20 help to reduce water losses caused by issues such as pipe bursts. At the same time, optimized maintenance extends the service life of water pipes. The portfolio complements GWF’s pressure optimization solution, which is known as GWF BALANCE. This enables the prediction of optimal zone pressure across the distribution network.
«I am truly excited to welcome i2O Water into GWF», comments Florian Strasser, CEO & Chairman of GWF AG, in the statement, adding that: «Water utilities everywhere face challenges in water network management, often with constrained budgets. By bringing together i2O’s proven pressure-management technology with GWF BALANCE and our broader INFINIO data platform, we can offer customers a system that not only tells you what optimal looks like but also delivers it. This innovative and cost-effective solution helps our water utility customers to reach the next level in network management and Non-Revenue-Water reduction».
According to the statement, existing i20 customers and partners can rely on continuity in service and support. These areas will be bolstered by expanded engineering capabilities, platform functionalities and long-term investments that GWF will bring to the company. No changes will be made to the staff structure of i20.
