Halter and PADELTA agree partnership for joint site development projects
Schlieren ZH/Rothenburg LU/ - The real estate development firm Halter and the padel specialists PADELTA AG are expanding their existing partnership. Moving forwards, the two companies intend to develop additional locations across Switzerland, combining offerings for sports, work and leisure in the process.
Halter AG, the real estate development firm headquartered in Schlieren in the canton of Zurich, and PADELTA from Rothenburg in the canton of Lucerne, are planning new joint projects within the framework of a strategic partnership. According to a statement, the partners now intend to identify suitable sites and develop use concepts. In this context, the focus will be on what are known as "third places" – these are locations for people to come together outside of their homes and workplaces to make use of a variety of offerings.
Halter develops real estate assets and areas, while PADELTA specializes in the operation of padel facilities. Together, they will seek to create locations that incorporate sports, dining facilities, shared workspaces, healthcare services and events. In this respect, new locations are to be opened and existing sites refurbished. "We are convinced that successful developments today must offer more than just residential areas and workspaces", comments Andreas Campi, Managing Director of the Developments division at Halter.
In Lupfig in the canton of Aargau, Halter and PADELTA have already joined forces to work on the FUTURAMA project. The partnership for this site was announced back in May. At present, two padel courts are being realized and are set to open towards the end of 2026. The facilities will be accessible round the clock thanks to automated infrastructure, whereby bookings, access and light controls are all handled digitally.
The plans also envisage the hosting of events. According to information from Halter, these include the One Point Challenge Tour (OPCT) at the Pilatus Arena in Kriens in the canton of Lucerne. "We share a conviction with Halter that sports will play a vital role in the living and working environments of tomorrow", as PADELTA Managing Director Yannick Moser states.
