Emmen/Schlieren - From autumn 2026, Halter AG in the canton of Zurich will commence a new residential development project in Lucerne-North. A modern neighborhood featuring 344 apartments as well as retail and office space will be built on the Rüüssegg site in Emmen. This project will transform a large development area in the canton of Lucerne.
Schlieren-based Halter AG, which also has a branch in Kriens in the canton of Lucerne, will serve as the general contractor to build a new, modern residential neighborhood in Emmen. According to the company, the site in Lucerne-North is intended to transform a major development area in the canton of Lucerne.
Construction of the new neighborhood will begin in autumn 2026 on the Rüüssegg site at Seetalplatz. Its location on the Kleine Emme river not only offers unobstructed views of Mount Pilatus and Mount Rigi from most apartments but will also feature outdoor space with a wetland landscape within the residential courtyards.
A total of 344 apartments will be built on the new site. Of these, 186 will be rental apartments, 58 will be affordable apartments and 100 will be condominiums. Alongside the residential buildings, the plan is to construct 1,733 square meters of office and commercial space as well as communal areas for residents.
Various developers are collaborating on the project. LA FONCIERE URBAN DEVELOPMENT will be responsible for the rental apartments, while the affordable apartments are being built by a non-profit investment foundation. The condominiums are being developed and sold by Halter AG. The new neighborhood is intended to create attractive living spaces for various segments of the population and contribute to the sustainable development of the municipality of Emmen.
