An impulse event for the wood industry will take place on May 10 at Tschopp Holzindustrie AG in Buttisholz: “Strengthening the regional wood supply chain”. According to a press release from regional development agency RET Sursee-Mittelland, Lucerne’s Central Plateau has a strong wood industry, and there is a very high level of expertise with wood in the local area. “In an international comparison, the local wood industry has a lead of 10 years when it comes to technology and knowledge,” says Pirmin Jung, President of the regional association for the wood industry, Lignum Zentralschweiz.

The partners are RET Sursee-Mittelland, Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU), Lignum Zentralschweiz and the Netzwerk Innovationstransfer Zentralschweiz (network for innovation transfer in Central Switzerland, ITZ).
