Infoniqa Group acquires Sage Schweiz AG
Root LU – The Infoniqa Group has acquired the Swiss arm of Sage, Sage Schweiz AG. With this transaction, the Austrian software company is investing in local Sage Group products in the area of human resources and expanding its product portfolio.
Sage Schweiz AG is becoming part of the Infoniqa Group. The human resources software provider from Wels in Austria is taking over Sage’s Swiss business, including its local products Sage Start, Sage 50 Extra and Sage 200 Extra, as was reported in a press release.
Through this acquisition, Infoniqa is strengthening its presence in both Switzerland and the small and medium-sized business segment. Both companies are providers of human resources software solutions. Sage Schweiz AG specializes in software for business processes and enterprise resource planning.
Sage’s global products are excluded under the transaction. The takeover by Infoniqa will give partners and customers of the software provider from Root access to a wider range of network solutions, as the Sage Group reported. “As part of the Infoniqa Group with a strong investor in the background, this step offers us strong future prospects and the opportunity to be part of a strongly growth-oriented solution provider in the DACH region will continue to offer the highest software quality and maximum customer satisfaction in the future,” explained Thomas Hersche, Country Manager of Sage Schweiz AG.
Through this acquisition of the Swiss arm, Infoniqa’s product portfolio will be expanded to include solutions for financial management and business processes as well as enterprise resource planning. This is supplemented by human resources apps specially tailored to the Swiss market. Léon Vergnes, managing director at Infoniqa, said that “the high product compatibility generates attractive synergy potential”.
The takeover doubles the sales of the Infoniqa Group to €60 million per year and increases its staff complement to 410.
