ITEN turns to Essemtec solution

Aesch/Dardilly - The French company ITEN is using the FOX system developed by Essemtec to manufacture its microbatteries. Accuracy, repeatability and integrated dispensing in the placement process were the decisive aspects in favor of the technology from the canton of Lucerne.

ITEN is using the FOX system developed by Essemtec for glue dispensing and component placement for its first manufacturing line, further details of which can be found in a press release issued by the company that specializes in electronics manufacturing from the Seetal region of the canton of Lucerne. Accuracy, repeatability and integrated dispensing for the placement and dosing of adhesives were the key criteria behind the decision of the French manufacturer of microbatteries in favor of using the technology developed by Essemtec. In fact, Essemtec’s solution prevailed over a number of different competitors.

“We are very satisfied with the Essemtec FOX system”, comments Ian Cayrefourcq, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at ITEN, in the press release. “We have now a qualified and efficient equipment in place to produce our microbatteries, and we are confident that Essemtec will remain our partner to support our market expansion and success”, he adds.
