Dierikon LU - Komax is to take over Artos Engineering. The Wisconsin-based company specializes in the optimization of wire processing equipment. The takeover is set to strengthen the position of the Lucerne-based wire processing specialist in North America.
According to a press release issued by the Komax Group, the globally operating Lucerne-based specialist in automation solutions in the field of wire processing is to acquire the US firm Artos Engineering. Founded in 1911, the company specializes in developing applications with which standard equipment for wire processing can be adapted to meet specific customer requirements.
The takeover of Artos Engineering, headquartered in Brookfield, Wisconsin, is intended to further strengthen Komaxs position in North America on the back of a previous acquisition of the sales business of TE Connectivity in Schaffhausen. Moreover, Komax intends to leverage the expertise and specialist knowledge available from its recent acquisition and apply this to its application development work.
Matijas Meyer, CEO of the Komax Group, commented in the press release: I am delighted that such a long-established company as Artos Engineering is now part of the Komax Group. Our customers will benefit from the strengths of both companies, plus the move will deliver other competitive advantages."
