LAC successfully hosts first AI Breakfast in the Seetal region

Hochdorf – The Local AI Community Lucerne (LAC) and IDEE SEETAL hosted the first-ever “AI Breakfast – Seetal” on 16 October 2025 in Hochdorf. The event focused on how small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can harness artificial intelligence in their daily business. Guest speaker: Claire Wagner.

Around 70 entrepreneurs attended the morning event at the Braui cultural centre in Hochdorf. Dario Jurt, Board Member of LAC and Project Manager for Business Development at Lucerne Business, welcomed the participants and gave a brief introduction to LAC’s origins and focus areas. He then handed over to Claire Wagner, Data Product Manager at SUVA and an expert in digital transformation.

In her presentation, “AI in Everyday Business: From Hype to Real Value,” Wagner explained what artificial intelligence is, why it matters to SMEs, and how companies can already benefit from it in simple ways today. She showcased a practical use case – automated email categorisation – and discussed advantages such as efficiency gains and cost savings, as well as challenges like data protection, limited resources, and the selection of suitable tools.

A key focus of her talk was how SMEs can get started with AI applications. Wagner presented low-code and no-code solutions and illustrated, with real-world examples, how businesses can gradually implement their own pilot projects. She concluded with practical tips for a safe start and a comprehensive list of useful tools.

During the Q&A session, participants had the opportunity to raise their own topics and engage in discussion. The event concluded with a networking session, where guests exchanged experiences, opportunities, and challenges related to AI.
