Messe Luzern and RUUF launch NovaFood trade fair
Lucerne/Zurich - The Lucerne events venue Messe Luzern AG and Christian Rudin from RUUF AG, a specialist in conventions and exhibitions, are organizing NovaFood. In fall 2026, the new trade fair will share information about products and developments in food production and offer a space for exchange and networking.
Messe Luzern AG and Christian Rudin, founder and managing director of Zurich-based RUUF AG, have launched the new trade fair NovaFood. According to a statement, the event will provide a meeting place for food producers on 26 and 27 October 2026. The focus will reportedly be on the ecological, economic, and social aspects of artisanal, commercial, and industrial food production.
«NovaFood will be the place where experts come together to learn about new products and developments, discuss solutions for specific projects, and gain specialist knowledge,» project manager Christian Rudin is quoted as saying. «Our consumption needs are changing, the call for sustainability is growing stronger, and raw material prices are rising. This calls for new solutions and approaches.»
As a B2B platform, the trade fair offers manufacturers and service providers a space to present their food production solutions. Exhibitors at NovaFood will be able to choose from prefabricated stands in different sizes at fixed prices to make it easy for them to participate in the trade fair. The target audience is decision-makers from development, production, and purchasing who are looking for new solutions or project partners.
With the NovaFood trade fair, Messe Luzern AG and RUUF AG aim to combine their respective strengths and experience. «I believe that together we can create a strong and future-oriented platform,» explains Fabienne Meyerhans, Head of Trade Fairs at Messe Luzern AG. «Christian has an excellent network in the industry, and we at Messe Luzern have many years of experience in bringing industries together and successfully implementing formats for exchange and knowledge transfer.»
