Mobility Returns to Lucerne
Lucerne - After ten years in Rotkreuz, the Mobility cooperative will move its headquarters back to Lucerne in autumn 2027, returning to a city it called home from 1997 to 2017. Switzerland's largest carsharing provider will occupy new offices at Werftstrasse 1, housing around 275 employees.
The move coincides with the expiry of the ten-year lease at the current site in the Suurstoffi area in Rotkreuz, prompting the board of directors to reassess the company's location and weigh alternatives. According to Mobility, Lucerne stood out for its central location, strong public transport connections, favourable cost structure, and the option to consolidate all office space on a single floor.
«Carsharing is in particularly high demand in urban areas. Our new location puts us right where shared mobility is part of everyday life, bringing us closer to our customers and to our cooperative membership base,» says CEO Corinne Vogel.
