Nano Dimension acquires Essemtec Group

Aesch LU - Essemtec Group, based in the Seetal region of the canton of Lucerne, is to become part of Nano Dimension Ltd, which is based in Florida in the USA. The development and production location Aesch will continue to be used and will be expanded.

Nano Dimension Ltd., a company listed on the American Nasdaq stock market, is acquiring Essemtec Group. According to a press release from Essemtec, the industry leader for additively manufactured printed circuit boards is thus acquiring “important know-how in the dispensing and assembly of electronic components”. Additionally, the companies complement each other “ideally in terms of market development”.

Nano Dimension is headquartered in Florida, while Nano Dimension Europe is domiciled in Stuttgart. The company also has subsidiaries in Hong Kong and Israel. Essemtec Group holds subsidiaries  in the USA, France, and Germany.

According to the information provided, the development and production location in Aesch will be maintained and expanded. The workforce there will continue to be headed up by the current management team. Essemtec products will still be available to clients in future. At the same time, they will also become a part of the “revolution” in the area of additively manufactured printed circuit boards driven by Nano Dimension according to Essemtec.

CEO of Essemtec Franz-Xaver Strüby is convinced “that this combination of technologies will bring momentum to 3D printed electronics and to electronics manufacturing as such.”
