Obrist designs another retail space for Bucherer in the USA

Inwil/Lucerne - Obrist was tasked with handling the interior design of TimeDome in Las Vegas for the Lucerne-based watch and jewelry specialist Bucherer. The project represents the second Bucherer contract for Obrist, which specializes in delivering high-quality fixtures and fittings for shop interiors.

Obrist interior AG from Inwil in the canton of Lucerne has realized the interior design scheme for the Bucherer 1888 store at Ceasars Palace in Las Vegas. Known as the TimeDome, it covers 1,700 square meters of retail space over two floors, as Obrist writes in a press release. The specialists in high-quality fixtures and fittings for shop interiors worked on the plans and implementation of the project for a period of 16 months.

“The biggest challenges we faced were logistics and material procurement during the COVID pandemic and the ongoing global geopolitical disputes”, comments Stefan Rohrer, project manager at Obrist, in the press release. However, he adds, “despite the high volume, demanding requirements, and some challenges” there were no unexpected surprises and everything went to plan.

The TimeDome project, which opened at the beginning of June, is the second contract awarded to Obrist by Bucherer in the USA. Obrist had previously realized the design of the Lucerne-based watch and jewelry retailer’s flagship store in New York, which was opened in the fall of 2021. For both projects, custom-made Obrist fittings and furniture were installed in light-filled rooms featuring a material mix of glass, stone, wood, metal and fabric in natural, warm colors.
