Opacc to remain lead sponsor of the Seeclub Sempach

Rothenburg/Sempach - Opacc has extended its lead sponsorship of the Seeclub Sempach for a further three years. The Rothenburg-based software development firm has been supporting the ambitious rowing club for more than 20 years.

Opacc has reaffirmed its commitment to Seeclub Sempach by remaining as the lead sponsor of the rowing club for the next three years. As detailed in a statement issued by the software development firm from Rothenburg in the canton of Lucerne, Switzerland, the company is therefore setting out its stall for long-term partnerships, sustainable development of young talent and support for regional sport: "More than practically any other sport, rowing demands precision, endurance, teamwork and perfect craftmanship – values that have always been at the core of Opacc".

As Opacc writes, the sporting successes of the rowing club, which was founded in 1919, almost speak for themselves. For example, Roman Röösli won a bronze medal at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with Patrick Brunner repeating this feat at the World Championships held at the end of September 2025.

"With our sponsorship, we are contributing to the vital development of young talent at the same time as acknowledging the fantastic voluntary work of the board", comments Urs P. Amrein, marketing manager at Opacc. "Rowing requires perseverance, intricate coordination and consistent teamwork. These are the same qualities crucial for sustainable success in the development of enterprise software as well".

Opacc sees itself as one of the few enterprise software developers that combines all competencies under one roof, from software engineering all the way through to customer support. The company employs around 180 people in 20 different roles.
