Pardo Weekender Collection works with materials from Locarno Film Festival 2024
Lyss/Emmen/Locarno - Björn Ischi, pack easy and The Circulator have developed the Pardo Weekender Collection. The limited-edition bags from the collection are made out of materials from Locarno Film Festival 2024. The festival is a partner in the project.
“Swiss craftmanship meets cinematic history,” pack easy AG writes on its website for the launch of the limited Pardo Weekender Collection. The suitcase and bag manufacturer from Emmen in the Swiss canton of Lucerne produces the collection sold in parallel with the Locarno Film Festival. It was developed by Björn Ischi from Lyss in the Swiss canton of Bern and the communication work is being supported by circular economy communication channel The Circulator. All bags from the collection are manufactured by pack easy from original materials from the Locarno Film Festival in 2024. The festival functions as a project partner and will sell the bags via its website shop as well as in the fan merchandise shop in front of Piazza Grande in Locarno during the festival from August 5 to 15.
The bags are offered in the LovelyElement Weekender and LoveDay Weekender variants. All pieces from the collection under the motto “Sustainable. Designed with Love. Made in Ticino.” are unique. According to the product page, every bag designed by Björn Ischi combines “timeless aesthetics with responsible luxury”. Instustry designer Ischi comments in a statement on the launch of the collection: “Anybody can buy something new, not everyone can redesign. It is exciting if we can make something better out of things that others would throw away.”
