Perlen - The paper manufacturer Perlen Papier has released a new product on the market: A recycled copy paper concept by the name of Perlencopy. It is manufactured in the canton of Lucerne using 80 percent collected and recycled wastepaper. With this new product, the company is offering a sustainable alternative to imported paper products.
Perlen Papier has launched the Perlencopy recycled copy paper. According to a product description, this comprises 80 percent recycled paper. The new product should help to close the paper cycle efficiently, regionally and sustainably, as detailed in a statement.
According to the company, the paper was developed as a solution for organizations that value aspects such as origin, sustainability, security of supply and responsible business practices. It is manufactured at the Perlen headquarters in the canton of Lucerne. Perlen Papier is a subsidiary of Perlen Industrieholding, which is based in Root in the canton of Lucerne and has been active in the paper production business for more than 150 years. Perlencopy is said to be “the first and only recycled copy paper produced in Switzerland”.
The product launch marks the next step in the company's strategic realignment and reflects its commitment to Switzerland as a production location. It is intended to offer a sustainable alternative to copy paper, which is often produced in South America or Scandinavia, and to reduce transport distances.
The paper is suitable for copying and printing using all standard devices. The manufacturing process is largely compliant with Blue Angel requirements.
