Renggli AG wins Family Business Award
Schötz/Cham/Bern - Renggli AG, based in Schötz in the Swiss canton of Lucerne, has been honored with the AMAG Group AG's Family Business Award 2026. The company was recognized for successfully combining sustainable construction, innovation, and long-term corporate responsibility.
Renggli AG is this year’s winner of the Family Business Award. According to a statement, the timber construction and general contracting firm received the award at Kursaal Bern in the presence of approximately 250 guests for its «entrepreneurial courage, technological innovation, and consistent commitment to sustainability». Jury president Karim Twerenbold said Renggli had demonstrated «remarkable foresight» through a «well-thought-out and exemplary» succession process, «thereby providing important impetus for the Swiss economy».
As the jury further emphasized, the company relies on certified wood, energy-efficient processes, and climate-friendly construction processes. It also makes targeted investments in innovation and digitalization. «The combination of environmental responsibility, economic success, and a strong corporate culture makes Renggli AG the deserving winner of the Family Business Award 2026,» according to the statement from AMAG Group AG, which is based in Cham in the Swiss canton of Zug.
AMAG has sponsored the award for 15 years in memory of the company’s founder, Walter Haefner. The winner is selected by an independent jury chaired by Twerenbold, chairman of the board of directors of the Twerenbold Reisen Group.
In addition to Renggli AG, two other finalists were recognized for their outstanding entrepreneurial commitment: Bühlmann Recycling AG from Münchenwiler in the Swiss canton of Bern and Welz AG from Trogen in the Swiss canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden. Each of the three companies received a certificate and a fully electric Cupra Raval for one year. Renggli, as the he winning company, may keep the vehicle permanently, and add it to its fleet.
