Renggli eyes expanded production capacity in Schötz
Schötz LU - Renggli AG is about to start work on a new production hall at its site in Schötz. In so doing, the company is increasing its capacity for serial and industrial timber element construction by around 25 percent. 30 new jobs are to be created as well.
Renggli AG is adding a new production hall to its manufacturing facility in Schötz in the canton of Lucerne. According to a statement issued by the timber construction company, which was nominated for this year’s Family Business Award, it recently secured the requisite construction permit for this project. It is scheduled for completion in early summer next year, meaning that production is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027.
With this expansion, Renggli is reacting to strong demand for industrially manufactured timber construction solutions. According to the information, the new plant will increase production capacities for serial and industrial timber element construction by around 25 percent, which will also facilitate the further development of timber frame construction activities: "In this way, Renggli remains flexible in its efforts to efficiently implement a range of project requirements for multi-story residential and commercial buildings", the company explains further.
Moreover, the expanded site will reportedly create around 30 new jobs. Of these, half will be in production, with the remainder in planning and project management roles. The first vacancies have already been advertised.
Renggli describes the expansion of the production plant as another step in the company's long-term development, underlining its commitment both to actively shaping timber construction in Switzerland and to making regular investments in modern infrastructure and its workforce.
