Schindler increases profits
Ebikon - Elevator and escalator manufacturer Schindler from the canton of Lucerne achieved an adjusted operating profit of 1.454 billion Swiss francs in the 2025 financial year, an increase of 8.2 percent. Group profit also rose, but a decline was reported for revenue and order intake.
The Schindler Group has reported revenue of 10.947 billion francs for the 2025 financial year, representing a decline of 2.6 percent compared to the previous year. However, this is equivalent to growth of 1.3 percent in local currencies. Order intake reached 11.313 billion francs (-0.9 percent, in local currencies +3.1 percent). Adjusted operating profit even increased by 12.3 percent in local currencies. Schindler generated net profit of 1.073 billion Swiss francs, corresponding to growth of 6.2 percent.
«2025 marked the final year of our operational recovery,» said Paolo Compagna, CEO of Schindler. «Four years on from the challenges we faced in 2022, I am pleased to say that we have emerged from this period as a stronger and more resilient company.»
For the current year, Schindler expects «low to mid-single digit revenue growth in local currencies». The EBIT margin is targeted at 13 percent (2025: 12.6 percent, adjusted EBIT margin 13.3 percent). «Our priority for 2026 is to achieve targeted growth while maintaining our focus on further improving operating margins,» explained Compagna.
