Schindler modernizes hydraulic elevators in the USA

Ebikon/Morristown - Schindler Elevators has launched two modernization packages for aging hydraulic elevators in the USA, Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew. These allow building owners to take a proactive approach to modernizing their elevators before repair costs arise or the elevators need to be replaced entirely.

Schindler, based in Ebikon in the canton of Lucerne, is introducing two modernization offerings for its elevators: ReStore and ReNew. With these packages, building owners and managers can take a proactive approach to modernizing aging hydraulic elevators, as was reported in a statement from Schindler’s U.S. subsidiary based in Morristown, New Jersey. By replacing outdated controls with the latest microprocessor technology and advanced components, Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew provide an efficient, cost-effective alternative to a full elevator replacement.

The Schindler ReStore modernization package includes a Schindler controller with softstarter, standard hall fixtures and car station, hoistway and machine room wiring, and fully enabled digital connectivity. An upgrade of the door operator can be added as an optional extra. According to Schindler, ReStore is particularly suitable for elevators that have been in operation for 15 to 25 years. The Schindler ReNew package builds on the ReStore offering and is designed for equipment that is over 25 years old.

«Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew help building owners and managers take a proactive approach to modernizing aging hydraulic elevators — before downtime or parts obsolescence becomes an issue. These solutions improve reliability, reduce unexpected costs, and give customers greater control over planning and budgeting,» said Joe Bera, Senior Vice President of Modernization Sales at Schindler.
