Schindler R.I.S.E. is deployed in Singapore’s Shaw Tower

Ebikon/Singapore - Schindler R.I.S.E. a robotic installation system for elevators, has been deployed in the new Shaw Tower in Singapore. The installation system, created by Schindler from the Swiss canton of Lucerne, reduces manual labor and improves safety as well as overall efficiency on the construction site.

Schindler's robot-assisted elevator installation system, Schindler R.I.S.E., has been used in the new Shaw Tower in Singapore. According to the Ebikon-based company in a LinkedIn post, the robot plays a key role during installation by reducing manual labor, improving construction site safety, and increasing the overall efficiency of the installation process. The self-climbing robot can autonomously perform installation tasks such as drilling and setting anchor bolts.

The R.I.S.E. system allows installation steps to be completed faster than with conventional assembly methods. While the system operates independently and requires no manual operation, a camera mounted on the platform enables remote monitoring. Additionally, for quality control and support, a Schindler R.I.S.E. operator remains on site during the assembly period.

"Schindler R.I.S.E. has now been successfully deployed on numerous construction sites around the world. Not only has it impressed customers and colleagues alike with its unprecedented speed and accuracy; it has also drastically improved working conditions for our staff. It is innovation at its best," Urs Püntener, Head of Global Fulfillment, Schindler Group, is quoted as saying on the company's website.
