SME Expert Forum promotes exchanges on digitalization

Lucerne/Holzhäusern - In 2025, the third Swiss SME Expert Forum will shine a spotlight on the digital transformation and practical knowledge. At the event on 28 August, executives from companies active in various sectors will report on their concrete experiences.

At the 3. KMU-Fachforum (SME Expert Forum), which is to be held on the afternoon and evening of August 28, 2025 in Holzhäusern in the canton of Zug, the focus will be on SMEs and their respective experiences in relation to digital transformation efforts. This event deliberately opts not to platform agencies and consultants. Instead, Digitalrat GmbH and topsoft, both based in the canton of Lucerne, came up with the concept for this event as a platform where Swiss enterprises are able to directly share their own strategies, ideas and questions with each other, as detailed in a press release.

Accordingly, the titles of the speeches listed in the event program include ones such as «From Butter and Flour to Bits and Bytes», «Hunting for Data with Detectors» and «From a Niche to a Global Dance Brand». The speakers come from the companies Pilatus, Dancing Queens, Dectris, Bico, and Kambly. Daniela Küttel, Managing Director of Neugass Kino AG, is also slated to discuss the challenges and opportunities linked to running a cinema in the modern digital world.

In addition to the case studies, the agenda includes generous breaks and an aperitif function followed by dinner to facilitate exchanges and networking between participants. The keynote speech is to be given by Dirk Apel, Vice President of the Swiss Transit Lab. He will outline the latest developments in the area of autonomous driving in Switzerland. The Swiss Transit Lab is implementing the «Automated Driving in the Furttal» pilot project on behalf of the Canton of Aargau, the City of Zurich, and SBB.
